Cardio Exercises to Lose Belly Fat - Does Treadmill Training Burn Body Fat?

Treadmill cardio exercises, cross trainer cardio or any other traditional cardio exercises are OK to do but not efficient for burning fat and calorie. Let me explain:
The first thing I will say is that cardio exercises are essential to burn fat and calories, train your heart at different rates to make it stronger, and just generally keep you fit and healthy. The question is - what type of exercises are good for that purpose? Most people (if not all) that are wanting to get in shape and lose body fat know they need cardio exercises to get their goals. Yet these people usually just join a gym and hop on a cardio machine sweating along for half an hour to an hour on a steady pace achieving maybe 50 calorie burnout and then go and eat pizza just to put an extra 800-1000 calories in to counteract their hard (and useless) workout.

Cardio

Today I would like to question hard these type of cardio training and suggest a more effective way to train and burn fat and calorie in the body.

If you have ever been to a gym and either trained on one of those machines or saw someone doing it - you know that all people training on a treadmill, bike, cross trainer etc, are usually watching TV or reading a magazine while they train. They do that because the exercise itself is boring. It is dead boring and mindless to go for half an hour or an hour on a steady pace. The result? They quit before they even achieved a gram of weight loss. There is another way of doing cardio exercises that is not boring and is burning far more body fat and calorie. But first lets examine closely the term cardio exercise.

Most people know that the word cardio is short for cardiovascular which is a system inside the body that transport blood throughout - so that means blood going through your heart, veins, into your brain, liver etc. The more efficient your blood stream is the better your health condition. So basically everything you do, I mean every auction or exercise that get you huffin and puffin is cardio. Even if you do just weight lifting and it is hard enough to get your blood going and your heart pumping is considered cardio. So now lets look at exercises like sprints, or any other exercise based on burst of exertion. These exercises will get your heart and blood going far better than any slow, steady pace training and you will burn more fat and calorie than traditional cardio as well.

In his book 'Truth about Six Pack Abs' Mike Geary talks in length about good and bad cardio and offer endless exercises based on burst of exertion together with 72 meal ideas for you to start burn fat and calorie even when you sleep.
